Zeitgeist – the movie

When I first saw the documentary “Zeitgeist”, I said to myself “Amazing. It’s my book, exactly, put in a movie form” (although, since I’m not listed in the credits, I guess all the research was done independently). We even used a lot of the same quotes and pictures. If the research is that easy, the truth is hard to miss: Jesus Christ never existed. I’ve got more evidence on my site than they put in the movie, but they make it accessible, cool, and add great visuals.

   he DID exist. yet like the movie said, he had a different name by the Egyptians: Horus.

   Which movie are we talking about – the Zeitgeist? This is an interesting theory – that the name ‘Jesus’ was translated into other cultures. However, most of the competing versions of Jesus have names that had been around or some time. “Horus” was worshiped, although in evolving forms, at least several centuries before Jesus. Also if he existed and was translated, we wouldn’t expect the geography to change: egyptians might call Jesus ‘Horus’ but would still probably believe he came from the Palestine, was born of Mary, etc. Instead, we find that Horus is completely Egyptian through and through. The Egyptians would have had to usurp the gospel story and assimilate it completely into a new cultural manifestation – exactly what I’m arguing the Jews did with the mystery religions – although, given the timeline, I’d say I have a much stronger argument.
